Design Thinking to help the Elderly.

Introduction
Last December 18th, 2023, something truly remarkable unfolded! We joined forces with the 21st Mind Learning Centre to host a special workshop. Our goal? To empower our students to grasp and tackle the real-life issues confronting older individuals.
Being in their client's shoes.
We kicked off by introducing students to the concept of design thinking. Then, it was all hands on deck! We paid a visit to Jasper Lodge, where students engaged in insightful conversations with both the elderly residents and caregivers. This firsthand experience shed light on the unique challenges they face.

Armed with newfound understanding, students then pinpointed the specific challenge they aimed to address in the project. They brainstormed creative ideas and solutions, fueled by their empathy and determination to make a positive impact.

This project went beyond mere problem-solving; it epitomized the essence of compassion and innovation. It was about devising ingenious ways to lend a helping hand and improve lives.
